I admire Steven because he was able to write down his inner thoughts, to share it with us. I cried often during reading, there are a lot of feelings on those pages! I am not adopted but I have tried to feel everything he wrote/lived from his point of view. The worse fear of a child is to lose his mother and for him this happened when he was just a baby. It was also more difficult for him to live in another country than his own because, unfortunatelly, people are discriminating if you look different than the majority.
Adopted children need love and support and much more reassurance than the children raised by their biological parents.
I really hope that the book will be read by many people who have adopted children and that this will help them to understand the feeling of their children better and to try to raise them with less trauma and more love.
Steven won the big battle with himself, even if partially till now, I hope he realized that his opening to other people ( especially to the ones like him-adopted ) helped him enormous and now he can see he is not alone in this world, not the only one who has the same feelings and thoughts.
