I have many art books. This reflects more a need for inspiration to get past my creative blocks than it does a need for instruction. This is an excellent "how to"book for basic and intermediate artists, but it goes beyond that. Bert Dodson's approach to art starts with retraining a person's point of view on working through the creative process and stopping negative-self talk. Once your inner critic has been reformed into a more constructive voice the creative process becomes much easier. I recommend this book to anyone, but especially for anyone who has lost their enthusiasm for drawing because their inner voice tells them they can't draw.
